GPS-Fitted Shoe

GTX Corp is working to develop a shoe that is outfitted with a GPS tracking system. The primaty target will be alzheimer patients, who are likely to get lost but not always like to seek for assistance. If they are lost for longer than a day, it may be dangerous.

Thus, savings in lives but also in search and rescue operations can be obtainerd. The development of the shoe is done by Aetrex. The shoe should cost about USD200-300, and a subscription to alert when a subscriber exceeds an area would cost about USD20 per month. These details still have to be established.

The shoe currently is tested and should be available from 2010.
