Kansas Lidar Elevation Survey

AeroMetric, USA, has been awarded a contract to provide the State of Kansas with Lidar elevation data covering 9,720 square miles in the eastern part of the State. This is an area including 11 counties, the Missouri river and Kansas City.

Funded by state and county agencies, this project is a key component of the Kansas Geographic Information System Partnership initiative which aims at developing a robust geospatial infrastructure to enhance the safety, economy, environment and quality of life in Kansas.

This project augments AeroMetric's extensive state mapping experience, which includes major recent projects in Alaska, Minnesota, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Illinois. AeroMetric will leverage its production capabilities in the Midwest as well as its Leica ALS70 Lidar sensor.
