LSO to Implement Mercator

Star Informatic (Belgium) has announced that the Land Survey Office (LSO) has chosen to implement Mercator in its cartographic production process.

LSO is a central administrative body for surveying with nationwide competence, based in Prague, Czech Republic. LSO performs (among others) the maintenance of Fundamental Base of Geographic Data (ZABAGED) as well as the production of topographic maps in scales from 1:10,000 to 1:1,000,000. In choosing Mercator, LSO will optimise its prepress workflows, without compromising the beauty and accuracy of its maps. The MercatorPrepress design tool and the MercatorServer production engine will ensure not only quality and standardisation but also productivity, an important matter, when taking into account the amount of topographic products that have to be created.
