SimActive Presents New UAV Version at UAV-g 2013

SimActive, the Canadian developer of photogrammetry software, has launched a new UAV version of its Correlator3D product. This UAV version supports all non-metric small-format sensors. As an official sponsor of last week's UAV-g 2013 conference in Rostock, Germany, SimActive chose this leading event to officially introduce Correlator3D UAV.

With Correlator3D UAV, SimActive has taken its extensive photogrammetry expertise, where medium and large-format sensors were used for large mapping projects, and adapted it to small-format sensors. As a result, photogrammetric precision can be achieved using UAV sensors to rival the results of the most sophisticated large-format cameras. Furthermore, according to SimActive, Correlator3D UAV offers exceptional processing speed, resulting in a quick turnaround for projects of any size. The software is scalable and offers a level of robustness uncommon to the UAV mapping world, the Canadian company claims. Specialised knowledge is not required for software operation.

In a market where margins are thin and performance remains of vital importance, the goal is to deliver state-of-the art technology solutions that help clients address these challenges whilst reducing their total cost of ownership, said Louis Simard, chief technology officer of SimActive. SimActive is known for years of photogrammetry expertise and a reliable support network for its clients.
