Sokkia Releases Triax LT40 Cross Line Laser

Sokkia BV (The Netherlands) has introduced the LT40, a compact cross line laser for inside and outside jobs. The LT40 is a new and versatile tool and replaces the former Triax LT50.

With just one ‘line’ button users can cycle their operation. The LT40 users can use a horizontal line, vertical line or laser cross, plumb up and down.

The LT40 is a suitable tool for the smaller companies especially for finishing specific construction jobs, for example to level and plumb decks, framing and partition walls, plumb window and door frames. Other applications like levelling and setting cabinets and counter tops, install trim and millwork are also possible.

Suitable for outdoor applications such as laying out piping, drainage and feed lines or to transfer sprinkler system layout from floor to ceiling. With the optional R40 receiver the laser operates up to 50 metres outside. This receiver has two bubble vial indicators (horizontal and vertical) and has an option to work with LED and/or sound.

With an accuracy of 3mm at 10 metre of the plumb beams and 1.5mm at 5 metre the operating time is 12 hours (with the two lines on). The instrument can set out angles of 90º. The LT40 has several attachment options, it includes a universal mount with strong magnets with 1/4”and 5/8” tripod mounts. The strap allows for attaching the unit to a variety of different surfaces including metal studs, wooden beams, walls and tripods. The automatic levelling sensor will save you time and money since the sensor triggers an alarm if the unit is moved out of its 5º self levelling range.

Sokkia delivers a complete package including a laser, universal mount, square, strap, user guide, 3 AA batteries and comes in a pouch. The R40 receiver is optional.
