Biography

CheeHai Teo is a licensed/chartered surveyor in private practice in Malaysia, with extensive experience and accomplishments in the field of surveying and geomatics. He served as the President of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) from 2011 to 2014, and as a Past Secretary-General of the ASEAN Federation of Land Surveying and Geomatics. He is also a Past President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) and has held various positions in the Association of Authorised Land Surveyors Malaysia (AALSM).

CheeHai Teo completed his undergraduate program in surveying in Australia in 1980 and obtained a Masters degree in Malaysia in 2004. He has been appointed to a number of ministerial committees and boards in Malaysia, including the Land Surveyors Board (2003-2009) and the Second National Economic Consultative Council (1999/2000).

With his expertise and leadership, CheeHai Teo has made significant contributions to the advancement of surveying and geomatics in Malaysia and internationally.
