Biography

Dr Dieter Fritsch is research professor and professor emeritus at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He spent 24 years as director of the Stuttgart Institute for Photogrammetry, has managed more than 110 research projects and published 460 publications related to photogrammetry, laser scanning, computer vision, GIS and statistical inference. In addition, he was vice-president and president of the University of Stuttgart (1998-2006) and currently serves as a consultant on geospatial technologies and intercultural management.
