Jochen Wendel

Jochen Wendel received his PhD in geography from the University of Colorado Boulder, USA. He also holds a master’s degree in geomatics and a Dipl-Ing. (FH) degree in cartography from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. Dr Wendel has worked on several projects related to location-based services, data mining and data visualisation with several state agencies and private companies in the US and Germany. In 2014 he joined EIFER and is currently working in the Energy Planning and Geosimulation group. His work at EIFER focuses on the development of 3D city models for applications for energy and urban climate modelling as well as interactive 3D visualisation of semantic building information.
