Dr Kwabena Asiama received his MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Twente (ITC) in the Netherlands. He is currently a researcher at the Geodetic Institute of the Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany. His main areas of research are real estate valuation, land use planning, land tenure and governance, and customary land administration. Asiama is Vice Chair of the FIG Young Surveyors Network.
