Biography

Ronald Koomans studied geology at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and completed his PhD at the nuclear physics laboratory of the University of Groningen, where he focused on the application of gamma-ray sensor technology in geoscience. Together with Han Limburg, Koomans founded Medusa Explorations BV in 2000. Koomans works at the interface of nuclear physics and geoscience, developing innovative methods that bridge scientific knowledge and practical field applications.
