3-GIS to Demonstrate Android Solutions

3-GIS, USA, will exhibit in booth 2408 at the Esri International User Conference, to be held from 23 to 27 July 2012 in San Diego, California. Numerous products being shown at the booth, from the Express Solution will demonstrate 3-GIS' commitment to taking GIS in new directions for utility and telecommunication companies.

The Express Solution products consist of Network Express, the company’s web-based solution; Field Express, our mobile solution and the common operational picture tool Command Centre.  3-GIS also shows their Android and iPad application for Field Express. Field Express for Android and iPad can view and edit both feature level and related record data.

The new 3-GIS High Accuracy GPS solution is to be demonstrated in the booth.  In conjunction with GTI, 3-GIS has integrated a high-accuracy external GPS receiver with the Android operating system to allow tablet-based data collection that results in high quality GPS data.  The high-accuracy GPS utilises a satellite-based correction system that provides sub-foot accuracy in real time without the need for post-processing.  This process will reduce the total cost of collecting GPS data because it virtually eliminates the need for back-office processing and integration.  This new technology will be applied to recording the location of new main and service installations as well as other assets such as marker balls.

The 3-GIS mobile solutions can all function in a disconnected mode of operation while efficiently caching thousands of features and records.
