3DMakerpro launches Eagle Series Lidar-based spatial 3D scanners

3DMakerpro has introduced the Eagle Series, a new line of spatial 3D scanners featuring Lidar and imaging sensors. The devices are designed for a range of applications, including reverse engineering, digital twinning, asset management, extended reality (XR), precision mapping and 3D printing. The launch reflects ongoing developments in consumer-accessible 3D scanning technology, with a focus on enhancing spatial data capture.

The new Eagle Series offers advanced 3D scanning capabilities, with a range of up to 140m and precision within 2cm at 10m. The lightweight scanner, weighing just 1.5kg, is designed for portability, with a built-in battery providing up to one hour of continuous use.

The scanners are available in Standard and Max versions. The Max model features four 48MP cameras, enhancing scanning efficiency and producing vivid 8K panoramic photos. 3DMakerpro states that the HDR mode ensures high-quality results even in low-light conditions. With a point cloud frequency of 200,000 points per second, the Eagle Series is designed for applications requiring highly detailed spatial data.

Democratizing access to professional-grade tools

The scanners are compatible with RayStudio software, allowing easy post-scan processing and exporting of point clouds in formats like PLY, OBJ and 3D Gaussian Splatting. The combination of Lidar and imaging technologies makes the Eagle Series particularly suited for industries including architecture, cultural heritage preservation, industrial inspection and game development.

According to 3DMakerpro, the launch of the Eagle Series spatial 3D scanners is a pivotal advancement in spatial scanning technology, democratizing access to professional-grade tools for both industry experts and passionate enthusiasts. "By bridging the gap between professional and personal use, 3DMakerpro empowers creators in fields like XR environments and digital asset management to explore new dimensions of digital innovation," the company states.
