A bird's eye view of Melbourne, Australia

The City2See website (www.city2see.com) is now offering high-resolution colour aerial photography of the Greater Melbourne metropolitan area. Users are able to freely search and view the image catalogue and print low-resolution images for free. Higher resolution digital and printed images, including laminated and framed products are available from Australian $ 14.90.
City2See gives the possibility to search on specific street addresses or to browse around streets, suburbs and neighbourhoods. The images cover most of the Melbourne Metropolitan area. Property boundaries can also be added to the images with the simple click of a button.
The City2See images have a pixel size of 15cm.
The large multi-terabyte library of aerial photography is held in ER Mapper's ECW format. The City2See website licenses elements of the ER Mapper application engine to mosaic 'areas of interest' on demand as well as giving the user the ability to lighten or darken the photography.
City2See is the first of several data products developed by Earthinsite. Earthinsite.com Pty Ltd is a Canberra company that specialises in making spatial data available at low cost to small business and the wider community. It uses spatial information technology originally developed at the Australian National University.
