Agentic AI takes centre stage at Trimble Dimensions 2025
Trimble provided a glimpse of how artificial intelligence is reshaping the future of construction and engineering at the kick-off of this year’s Trimble Dimensions conference. The spotlight was on agentic AI – intelligent assistants that automate complex tasks, speed up decisions and connect data across every stage of a project.
At the centre of this vision is Trimble’s agentic AI platform, built to be secure, scalable and open for collaboration. It provides the foundation for customers and partners to develop their own AI agents and workflows across Trimble solutions.
With the launch of Trimble Agent Studio, now being piloted with select customers, the company is taking a decisive step towards an AI-driven future where human expertise and machine intelligence work seamlessly together.
"As agentic AI use cases multiply, there is a growing need for common infrastructure that allows creators to rapidly and responsibly develop, deploy, monitor and maintain high-value AI agents at scale," said Mark Schwartz, senior vice president of AECO software at Trimble. "We see the platform as the engine that will help Trimble, its partners and its customers extract more value from both our solutions and their data."
Breaking down data silos
Today, the impact of Trimble’s agentic AI platform and related capabilities is evident across a range of solutions that are transforming how users work. The technology helps users learn and navigate Trimble software more intuitively, shortening onboarding times and boosting engagement. It also removes many of the manual steps traditionally required to create models from scratch, allowing users to generate 3D objects simply by describing what they want to design.
In the field, voice memos can be automatically converted into structured documents, making it easier to capture status updates from crews and reducing the time teams spend behind computer screens at the office. At the same time, AI accelerates access to data, streamlining workflows for asset maintenance and permitting. Together, these advances demonstrate how Trimble’s approach to AI is driving tangible customer value throughout the project lifecycle.
"Our Connect and Scale strategy has brought us to this point," said Rob Painter, Trimble CEO. "We are building an industry ecosystem aimed at breaking down data silos and empowering our customers to make smarter decisions, collaborate effectively and work faster. By embedding AI into our solutions and enabling improved data flow, we're taking the next steps towards unlocking the power of connected data."
