Bing Maps Service on MapMart Cloud

MapMart, based in Colorado, USA, has created a simple online portal for subscribing to Bing Maps for use in major GIS software packages. Subscribing to the Bing Maps service on MapMart Cloud provides Esri users with continuity of the Bing Maps Service and expands on the previous scope of usage as well.

The phase out of the Bing services within ArcGIS Desktop began 28 February and will finish in September.

The biggest benefits to subscribing to Bing Maps via MapMart Cloud are the multi-platform compatibility and the inclusion of imagery metadata, said Tillman Saylor, head of MapMart Cloud Solutions. Using the relationship with OnTerra Systems, MapMart can quickly get an organisation up and running with the latest Bing services almost immediately.

MapMart is a major provider of geospatial information via the web. The fact that it has become a reseller of the web-based Bing Maps services provides strong validation of MapSavvy, OnTerra Systems' web-based Bing Maps service, commented Steve Milroy, OnTerra Systems CEO.

MapMart Cloud Web Mapping Service has been developed to serve up the most current and highest quality geospatial data available in a fast and easy way to GIS and non-GIS users alike. The datasets include the CORE data with a wide selection of Aerial, Satellite, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), and Topographic maps, plus Premium Data providing the highest resolution Aerial and Satellite data currently available from the major data providers including, DigitalGlobe, GeoEye, Intermap, and Astrium.
