Blue Marble and MundoGeo Organise Spanish GIS Webinar

Blue Marble Geographics is teaming up with MundoGeo to offer a free Spanish language webinar entitled ‘Is Low-cost GIS Attainable for Everyone?’ The webinar, to be held on Tuesday 17 September 2013, will demonstrate how low-cost GIS is attainable through the use of Global Mapper, Blue Marble's GIS software.

Global Mapper is a desktop GIS application that offers access to a variety of spatial datasets and provides just the right level of GIS functionality to satisfy both beginner and expert users. This free one-hour webinar will explore some of the key components of Global Mapper. Blue Marble will demonstrate how easy it is to create and manage GIS data using this software and will show that low-cost GIS software is attainable for everyone with Global Mapper.

This webinar will showcase the wide variety of data sources available to Global Mapper users, including built-in access to many online datasets that offer free, on-demand imagery, topographic maps, and elevation data. The webinar will also showcase many of the data processing tools in Global Mapper that allow performance of functions such as cropping, converting, reprojecting, and tiling data layers. It will also explore several of the software's analysis tools including the 3D viewer, watershed modelling, and linear profiling, as well as the various options that are available for sharing and exporting data, including printing, geospatial PDF generation, file exporting and web publishing.
