Energy, connection and innovation: EAASI made its mark at Intergeo 2025

The European Association of Aerial Surveying Industries (EAASI) wrapped up a highly successful presence in Frankfurt, strengthening its position as a driving force in the global geospatial arena. With two standout moments – the EAASI Students Tour and the Annual Networking Event – the association showcased its commitment to collaboration, visibility and nurturing the next generation of aerial surveying professionals.

The EAASI Students Tour, now in its second edition, drew overwhelming interest from aspiring geospatial talents. Registration had to close early as all places were quickly filled, confirming the growing excitement among students eager to explore the world of aerial surveying. Under the guidance of Patrik Meixner, chair of the EAASI Students Committee, and Marcos Martínez-Fernández, EAASI secretary-general, participants gained first-hand insights into the latest aerial mapping innovations and met industry leaders shaping the future of the sector.

The EAASI Networking Event also reached new heights, welcoming a record number of attendees for an evening of exchange and community building. This year’s gathering carried a special touch – it was co-hosted by GeoFly and OPEGIEKA, whose exhibition stands faced each other across the bustling show floor, symbolizing the close-knit spirit that defines the EAASI network.
