Exhibition Forms Key Pillar of UN World Geospatial Information Congress

The United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress (UNWGIC) will be held in Deqing, Zhejiang Province, China, from 19-21 November 2018. The congress is organised by the United Nations through its Department of Economic and Social Affairs, with the support of the Government of China through the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Zhejiang Provincial Government. As an important part of the UNWGIC, the Geospatial Technology and Application Exhibition will be organised from 19-23 November 2018 at the Deqing International Exhibition Center.

The objective of the UNWGIC is to provide a convening, participatory and inclusive environment to enhance the communication, understanding, knowledge and application of geospatial information management to address local, regional and global challenges. With the overarching theme of 'The Geospatial Way to a Better World', the Congress will bring together all stakeholders at the highest level, including governments, non-governmental organisations, academic and research institutions, and the private sector. While the UNWGIC plenary programme covers three days (19-21 November), the overall event will be a week long (19-23 November), and will include exhibitions, global and regional meetings, workshops, and side events.

Geospatial Technology and Application Exhibition

As an important part of the UNWGIC, the Geospatial Technology and Application Exhibition will be organised from 19-23 November 2018 at the Deqing International Exhibition Center. It will showcase the state-of-the-art technologies, products and application solutions from the worldleading companies, academic and research institutions, as well as other related organizations from across the globe. The Exhibition will focus on four major areas: Intelligent Equipment; Smart Applications; Location-Based Services; and Future Life. It will provide a prime opportunity for professional and industrial exchanges and business cooperation.
