Extending Road Centerline Capabilities
Northampton County Pennsylvania awarded geographIT a contract to implement a robust Geographic Information System (GIS) enterprise data model, maintenance tools, and maintenance procedures for road centerlines.
In addition to time saving maintenance tools that enhance data quality, the database model supports street mapping, finding addresses referenced by multiple street names, vehicle routing, and reconciling road names with the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) database maintained by Northampton County E-911. Contracted services include converting the County's current centerlines into the new database model, implementing centerline editing tools, and training technicians on centerline maintenance and quality control procedures.
