FARO Offers Platform for 3D Experts

FARO, the company specialised in portable measuring technology, is once again organising the FARO 3D Documentation User Meeting, which will this year be held on 13 and 14 June in the Convention and Conference Centre in Strasbourg, France. The main topic will be 3D documentation generated with the help of laser scanning.

The 2013 edition is a follow-up to the successful events of the last two years. In 2012, around 300 participants gathered at Schloss Sihlberg in Zurich, Switzerland. This year, visitors to the 3D Documentation User Meeting will once again have the chance to gain important insights into trends and get some helpful tips to assist them in their daily work. Users will get together to exchange ideas and experiences at this event. Workshops and specialist lectures are scheduled to provide participants with new and informative insights.

The event brings together specialists from a variety of different sectors, who have all realised the potential of 3D documentation and are using it to their benefit. Top-class speakers will be reporting on, among other things, using 3D documentation in architecture, engineering, monument preservation, mining and tunnel construction as well as forestry and agriculture. The platform will also focus on economic potential and the swift return on investment that can be achieved by using laser scanning.

There will also be plenty of time during this year’s 3D Documentation User Meeting to meet up with the speakers and other participants as well as to network with experts. An interesting aspect of the event are the hardware and software solutions from FARO and FARO's partners that will be introduced and presented live.
