Fifth Highest Welsh Mountain Survey

The mountain Glyder Fawr (SH 642579) with a height on Ordnance Survey maps is 999 metres. The mountain may enter into the ‘Metric Super League', a group of mountains that measure over 1,000 metres in height. Only four mountains south of the Scottish border are members of this elite club.


G and J Surveys in conjunction with Ordnance Survey, Snowdonia National Park Authority, The National Trust, The Gorphwysfa Club, UK Metric Association and CREAD.Cyf have surveyed the mountain. On 21st September, the result of the survey will be announced.
