First 2012 Release of Global Data Product Suite
At the Esri Partner Conference in Palm Springs, USA, geodata service provider Europa Technologies, headquartered in the UK, has announced the latest version of its market-leading family of global data products.
The 2012.1 release introduces a number of significant improvements including support for Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish languages; new global bathymetry layers; enlarged populated places gazetteer; more high-resolution coastlines; updated international and 1st/2nd level administrative boundaries; updated time zones with DST for 2012/2013; and a new online delivery option.
The new global release is also available by way of Data as a Service (DaaS) through the viaEuropa platform. viaEuropa provides access to hosted, high quality cartography as a map tile service that can be easily consumed by desktop, mobile and web applications.
Supporting the company's eco-initiatives, online product delivery on a quarterly basis has been made formally available for the first time.
