GEO-8 Conference and Seminar Programme

GEO-8, the new exhibition targeted at engineering, surveying, geomatics and GIS professionals, has announced its conference and seminar programme. The programme features keynote presentations from the Chief Executive of the Ordnance Survey Vanessa Lawrence and visionary geomatics professional Simon Barnes together with presentations from senior representatives of organisations such as the Environment Agency, 1 Spatial and Leica Geosystems.

In addition to the conference programme there will be a series of topical seminars addressing issues such as the role of surveying in tackling organised crime and taking field data capture back to basics. GEO-8 together with the m3 conference will take place on the 9-10th April 2008 at the Ricoh Arena Coventry.

The m3 Conference focuses on the 3m's of geospatial information - measuring, modelling, managing, providing the opportunity for geospatial professionals to come together to discuss current practice, consider current and emerging technologies and to hear topical presentations from high profile business leaders, practitioners, academics and researchers. Under the theme ‘GIS and Survey: marriage or cohabitation' the conference aims to connect the fields of survey and GIS and explore how technologies in current usage can shape new solutions and business processes.

GEO-8 will take place on the 9th and 10th of April 2008 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
