Geo Connect Asia gains ground in interconnected market

The 5th edition of Geo Connect Asia concluded on 10 April in Singapore, recording its highest-ever attendance from leading Singaporean and regional government agencies, enterprise decision-makers and global experts. Together with the co-located Digital Construction Asia, Drones & Uncrewed Asia, and Marine & Hydro Asia events, the show attracted approximately 3,000 attendees from over 50 countries.

With more than 30% of the audience travelling to Singapore from neighbouring Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states, the event aimed to address the growing challenges and opportunities arising from regional interconnections and shared interests. Centred on the theme 'Transforming technology into solutions: underground, land & sea to sky', Geo Connect Asia featured 177 speakers across seven conference stages. With over 50% of the audience attending for the first time, the event continues to demonstrate its vitality and relevance.

Strengthening connections

Commenting on his participation across several conference stages, Will Cavendish, global digital lead of Arup, said: “Geo Connect Asia offered a great opportunity to understand first-hand the dynamics of the region’s markets and the many connections to Arup’s work, where our portfolio of activities harnesses the best of data, technology and AI to meet the challenges of growth, decarbonization and climate change in the built environment. The event brings together stakeholders from leading government agencies and enterprise, plus a vibrant tech ecosystem, and is a great way of experiencing cutting edge innovation as well as meeting clients and making new contacts.”

Saiful Nizam Mustafa, head of geomatics, Petronas Carigali, commented: “As an advisor to Geo Connect Asia I was delighted to share the interests of the energy sector in the development of a geomatics theme for the event. The successful co-hosting of the Geomatics CoP (ASEAN Chapter) Talk #6 Geomatics in CCS MMV at Geo Connect Asia enables our members to bridge the link with a new source of emerging technologies. We look forward to strengthening this connection at next year’s event.”

The event concluded with strong momentum toward the future, marked by the early commitment of over 25 companies to return for the 2026 edition, scheduled from 31 March to 1 April at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. The 2026 event will also see the launch of Ocean Connect Asia, a regional platform dedicated to hydrography and autonomous surface and subsea technology applications.

Since its launch in 2020, Geo Connect Asia has grown into one of the world’s five leading industry events for the geospatial, remote sensing and location intelligence sectors. The exhibition showcases technologies for data collection, interoperability and sharing – spanning a wide variety of technologies such as satellite systems, ground radar, Lidar, GNSS and drones.
