Geo Week roundtables put practitioners at the centre of the conversation
Geo Week 2026 is introducing a new element to its conference programme that places practitioners at the heart of industry dialogue. A series of open, interactive roundtable sessions will run across all three days of the event, offering attendees and exhibitors an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss challenges and reflect on the direction of the geospatial sector.
Geo Week brings together professionals from across geospatial, mapping and the built environment to explore how data, maps and advanced technologies can deepen understanding of the world and support solutions for complex challenges. The new roundtable format has been designed to strengthen that mission by shifting the focus from presentation to participation.
Unlike traditional panels, the roundtables are structured as conversations rather than stage-led sessions. No invitation is required, and anyone with a Geo Week badge can join in. The aim is to create a setting in which peers can speak candidly, compare approaches and work through shared questions in real time.
The format reflects a long-standing request within the community for more direct engagement. Topics span a wide range of current priorities, including AI-driven workflows, mobile mapping trade-offs, workforce development, radiance field representations in the AEC and geospatial sectors, and the adoption of national and open standards for horizontal infrastructure. Each session is designed to go deeper than a typical conference talk, with participants contributing insights from day-to-day practice.
Technology showcase and keynotes broaden the programme
Beyond the roundtables, the event continues to offer a broad view of the technologies shaping the geospatial and built world. A vendor-neutral exhibition floor will bring together providers across BIM, airborne and terrestrial mapping, and commercial 3D technologies, allowing visitors to compare solutions and assess their impact on project delivery and asset lifecycle management.
Keynote sessions will provide a wider perspective on where the industry stands today and what lies ahead. Industry thought leaders are expected to share insights, context and forward-looking views on emerging developments across the sector.
Held in Denver, Colorado, in mid-February, Geo Week is set to attract a large international audience, with an extensive conference programme and a sizeable exhibition presence. The new roundtable format is built on a simple premise: meaningful insights often emerge through conversation. By giving practitioners a seat at the table, the event aims to foster a more collaborative exchange of ideas and experiences across the geospatial branch.
