GeoDecisions Celebrates GIS day

GeoDecisions celebrated the annual geographic information system (GIS) Day on 18th November 2009 with a series of presentations and events throughout the country. GIS Day is a global, grassroots event held during the third week of November aimed at providing a better understanding of GIS in our communities, schools, and organisations.

Many employees throughout GeoDecisions captured the essence of the day by delivering educational lectures at colleges and universities that featured real-world examples of GIS and its extensive applications and benefits in our world.

The nationwide educational outreach efforts included interactive workshops and presentations at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC), University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Franklin & Marshall College, Shippensburg University, Old Dominion University, and others.

Additionally, GeoDecisions delivered two presentations at HACC during its GIS Day event, which featured workshops and demonstrations from students, local, state, and federal agencies, nonprofits, professional organizations, and members of the private industry.
