Geospatial Leaders Think Forward

Leica Geosystems, Switzerland, welcomes customers and partners from around the world to Hexagon 2012, taking place from 4 to 7 June 2012 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, USA. In its second annual international conference, Hexagon 2012 will be uniting the latest technologies and user communities from Leica Geosystems, Intergraph, Hexagon Metrology and Novatel in one venue to provide attendees with a user experience of unprecedented scope and value.

Professionals from the mapping, positioning, surveying, engineering, construction, asset management, public safety and security, and geospatial solutions industries are taking part of Hexagon 2012 in record-breaking levels. According to the latest official report, attendance numbers are trending above 70% ahead of last year’s strong performance. The Geosystems track alone features more than 100 targeted breakout sessions tailored into three sub-tracks: “Trends in Mapping & Positioning for Government and Industry”, “HDS/Laser Scanning”, and “Geospatial Solutions”. Each incorporates hands-on training courses, previews of new technologies, interactive technical demonstrations and workshops, compelling customer testimonials from today’s thought leaders, and unlimited networking opportunities. All of the company’s latest solutions will be on display in a massive 42,000 sq.ft. TechPark.

Jürgen Dold, President, Hexagon Geosystems and Ken Mooyman, President, Hexagon Geosystems NAFTA will present the featured keynote address for the Geosystems track. The keynote will highlight how innovations from Geosystems, combined with its customers' expertise and ingenuity, is positively influencing and changing the future. Attendees will also learn how Geosystems’ solutions interface with and leverage Intergraph, MicroSurvey, and Metrology solutions for the benefit of end-users and their clients.

During his keynote presentation, “Hexagon: Moving Businesses, Industries and the World Forward,” Hexagon’s president and CEO Ola Rollén spoke about the company’s commitment to empowering customers with actionable information to proactively address tomorrow’s challenges. Intergraph Process, Power & Marine (PP&M) president Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure (SG&I) president John Graham, Hexagon Metrology president Norbert Hanke and Hexagon Geosystems president Jürgen Dold, have highlighted stories describing how customers have employed Hexagon technologies to positively impact the global trends and changes facing the world today.
