GeoViewer for iPad Presented at Conferences - 23/01/2012

LizardTech, USA, is exhibiting at two conferences this week: the International Lidar Mapping Forum (ILMF) in Denver (USA) and the Defence Geospatial Intelligence (DGI) 2012 Conference in London (UK). Among other geospatial software products, the company will showcase its free GeoViewer application for iPad, designed for viewing geospatial imagery and vector overlays, at both conferences.

The free GeoViewer application enables users to view data stored on the iPad. GeoViewer supports MrSID and JPEG 2000 formats, and includes measurement functionality as well as geolocation support. It's also user friendly, with intuitive tools for band selection and coordinate display.

At the ILMF Conference, LizardTech is to showcase the company's application for compressing Lidar files, Lidar Compressor software, which turns giant point cloud datasets into efficient MrSID files. Lidar files compressed to MrSID format are easily managed resources from which derivatives can be extracted over and over again. Those not familiar with Lidar compressor are encouraged to attend the Basics to Lidar workshop conducted by LizardTech's software architect, Michael S. Rosen. The workshop, entitled 'What's Our Lidar Distribution Story,' is on Wednesday, 25th January 2012 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. The conference takes place at the Hyatt Regency at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, USA, where delegates can visit LizardTech at booth #203.

At the DGI Conference, LizardTech will be conducting demonstrations of GeoExpress software, which enables geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery, Express Server software for high-performance delivery and publication, and Lidar Compressor. The DGI Conference is taking place in the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, where LizardTech is at booth #65.
