GIS for Apple OSX

ADW Software has launched two products for Apple OSX, one of them being a GIS program. The latter, Pythagoras CAD+GIS contains about 50 new features compared to the last version.

 

Pythagoras GIS+CAD is a GIS program that has been designed for local authorities, cadastral services, utility companies, urban planning and for scientific research. Its application is to analyse and visualise spatial information, without being limited to geographical objects only.

Only one software application should be used to complete the whole process:

• Creating and updating geographical information,
• Consulting and updating of spatial information,
• Analysing of spatial information and
• Reporting and mapping of the analysis.

Pythagoras GIS+CAD is extendable by means of VBA.

Pythagoras CAD+GIS version 11, is the latest version of Pythagoras designed for land surveyors, civil engineers (road design & urban planning), construction companies. Pythagoras CAD+GIS contains more than 50 new features in comparison with Pythagoras 10. GIS functionalities are integrated giving Pythagoras the advantage of both CAD and GIS worlds.

Programmable

Pythagoras is an open application. Pythagoras VBA supports hundreds of properties and methods that allow a programmer to create, read and write database tables, analyse data, produce thematic maps, automate drawing and much more.

 

According to the supplier, Pythagoras is the only GIS application on Macintosh that supports VBA. Pythagoras GIS+CAD is bridging the gap between traditional CAD systems and GIS systems.
