HP Designjet 4000 Printer Integrated in Smallworld

HP (CA, USA) has announced that the large-format HP Designjet 4000 Printer series is being integrated with GE Energy’s Smallworld 4 Product Suite, enabling GIS professionals to quickly produce high quality full-colour and black and white prints with minimal user intervention.

Usability improvements in the Smallworld Core Spatial Technology 4 product, introduced in 2004, make creating and reproducing printed output simpler and faster to manage, saving many hours of effort. Leveraging the benefits of the HP Designjet 4000, GIS users working in a combined GE Energy and HP environment can maximise the value of their GIS data regardless of its format. They have the option of printing to the HP Designjet 4000ps using the embedded postscript driver or by creating a PDF file directly from the Smallworld application via the bundled Adobe Acrobat 7.0 software.

Featuring the new HP Double Swath technology, the HP Designjet 4000 provides faster performance without sacrificing image quality, and delivers high-speed colon and monochrome printing up to 42 inches wide with outstanding line accuracy, image quality and remote printer management. The HP Designjet 4000 printer provides a high resolution up to 2400 dpi and up to +/- 0.1 percent line accuracy, optimal for users who need precise designs, maps, renderings, and line drawings.
