IG Training Programme: Master Airborne Photogrammetry and RS
The inscription for 'Digital Photogrammatry' and ' Sensor Orientation (2): Precise trajectory and attitude determination with INS' of the IG training programme in the frame of the international Master of Airborne Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing has opened.
The module on 'Digital Photogrammetry' is held by Prof. Dr. Ing. Christian Heipke, University of Hannover, Germany on Monday 30th May to Friday 3rd of June 2005.
The course will cover the main topics involved in the modern digital Photogrammetry workflow, from the acquisition up to the product generation. The basic concepts for the interpretation of digital images will be reviewed, from orientation to aerial triangulation. Then, the possibilities, realities and promises for the automatic and semi-automatic derivation of elevations and object extraction will be discussed, including an overview of the commercial market place.
The module on 'Sensor Orientation (2): Precise trajectory and attitude determination with INS' (40 hours) is held by Prof. Dr. Ismael Colomina, Institute of Geomatics, Spain
On Monday 13th of June to Friday 17th of June 2005.
The course aims at teaching the fundamentals of INS/GPS trajectory and attitude determination for airborne sensors in the area of airborne photogrammetry and remote sensing. The course provides a general description of inertial technology with an emphasis on its integration with GPS for its combined (INS/GPS) use in sensor orientation and calibration. Though the link with aerial triangulation and GPS trajectory determination is described, the module is neither a course on aerial triangulation nor a course on GPS kinematic positioning.
The courses of the International Master in Airborne Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing are organised in collaboration with: Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
Both courses are held in English and take place at the Institue of Geomatics in Castelldefels, Spain. Inscription forms are available at www.ideg.es.
