ILMF 2015 Programme Includes Over 60 Presentations

The International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) 2015 Conference programme has been posted online. The event, taking place from 23 to 25 February 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Denver in Denver, Colorado, USA, will be celebrating its 15th year of hosting the technical conference and tradeshow focused on data acquisition, fusion, processing and point clouds for airborne, terrestrial and underwater Lidar used to support transport, urban modelling, coastal zone mapping, utility asset management and more.

The ILMF 2015 programme is comprised of more than 60 presentations, with world-leading experts presenting the latest advances in Lidar and industry developments. Conference delegates will gain first-hand knowledge from industry experts about data acquisition, data fusion/classification and processing techniques and the increasing integration of the key technologies driving the market. The programme will include presentations on recent projects and case studies, with service providers describing examples of laser scanning in practice, and sharing crucial lessons learned.

ILMF is focused on Lidar technology advances, and latest tools to market.  The ILMF 2015 exhibition will have more than 60 leading technology, software and service providers from around the world. Exhibitors include airborne, terrestrial and bathymetric Lidar, complementary sensor manufacturers, engineering services, service providers, data processing, GIS and more. In addition, there will be a series of vendor technical workshops to update delegates on the latest advances in Lidar and complementary solutions for precision measurement.

Lisa Murray, ILMF director, says to have added a UAV/UAS pavilion and programming to arm delegates with insight into the emerging UAV/UAS market and the impact on aerial LiDAR and other remote sensing technologies. UAV/UAS experts including Jonathan Downey of Airware and Colin Snow of Drone Analyst will discuss the current legal and regulatory environment, considerations for incorporating UAVs into current workflows and predictions for the future.  In addition, UAV exhibitors will be on-hand in the UAV pavilion and participating in a panel discussion on the program of hardware, software and service options.

ILMF will again host The American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) ‘hot topics’ session, as in previous years, with an update on activities of the society associated with Lidar, including an overview of the new USACE Engineer Manual 1110-1-1000, Photogrammetric and Lidar Mapping.
