Improved Self-levelling Lasers

Pentax (Japan) has introduced improved self-levelling lasers. The PLP-700 Series replaces the existing PLP-600 Series and comes with some technical improvements as well as a major move forward in design.

The PLP-700 Series improves the height accuracy of the detector from ± 1mm (LS-6) to ± 0.7mm (LS-7) and increases the measuring range from 0.5m-200m to 1m-200m (PLP-600). Identical to the PLP-600 Series, the PLP-700 Series comprises 4 models: PLP-701, PLP-701R, PLP-702 and PLP-702R.

The new design of the PLP-700 Series is part of the recently launched new product strategy where a new, identifying product colour scheme has been set. All Surveying and Construction measuring instruments manufactured by Pentax Industrial Instruments Co., Ltd will feature a combination of industrial grey and chili red with brand and product names in light grey. The new colour scheme naturally evolved from an instinctive design solution for product colour reflecting the vitality that exists within Pentax Industrial Instruments Co., Ltd.

The Pentax PLP-700 range of lasers will be available from mid-December 2006.
