Institution of Civil Engineers Supports GEO Business

The organisers of the GEO Business event, Diversified Communications, have announced that the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is the latest high-profile organisation that has agreed to lend its professional knowledge, expertise and guidance to the GEO Business event. With the next event scheduled to be held in London from 27-28 May 2015, this latest collaboration helps GEO Business to cover all corners of the geospatial industry.

ICE will work alongside the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES), The Survey Association (TSA) and the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) to ensure that GEO Business provides cutting edge content to meet the needs of the whole geospatial industry.

The feedback from the launch event earlier this year showed that the main attraction to GEO Business was its excellent content, offering visitors the opportunity to attend over 49 conference papers, 96 commercial workshops in seven dedicated theatres, an outside demonstration area, a full and vibrant exhibition housing over 119 exhibitors and a busy and popular networking programme.

Show director Versha Carter commented the organisation could not be more excited that ICE will be lending their professional knowledge, expertise and guidance to GEO Business. With over 80,000 members, they are a leading industry body who are extremely well respected in this industry and their participation not only provides the show with further support, but it continues to raise the show’s profile and broadens its reach.

Richard Armstrong, knowledge transfer advisor, Institution of Civil Engineers added  ICE is delighted to be part of GEO Business 2015. The success of the 2014 event highlights the growing interest in this sector and with the assistance of their highly active Geospatial Engineering Panel the ICE is keen to assist in the delivery of an even more successful 2015 event.
