IONIC Selected by Danish National Survey and Cadastre

IONIC (Belgium) has been chosen by Kort & Matrikelstyrelsen (KMS), the Danish National Survey and Cadastre to upgrade the actual 'Map Supply' web services with RedSpider Web. KMS will use the IONIC RedSpider Web software, including the Oracle Spatial connector, to support new SLD/WMS and WFS services.

KMS is providing the national spatial infrastructure within its areas of responsibility, and as part of this infrastructure, the Map Supply service was released in April 2002.

The goal for The Map Supply is to provide an efficient way of making KMS’ spatial information available to the users via the Internet. The Map Supply is fundamentally based on OGC standards, centred on a set of XML-based geocoding tools and a set of WMS-based map services.

Today a total of 20 development partners have signed up in the partner program of KMS Map Supply services. Amongst the partners are both companies offering standard enduser solutions and companies doing custom development exclusively.

This new IONIC reference will complete the impressive list of prestigious organisations
already using IONIC RedSpider, such as the Norwegian Mapping Agency, IGN France, Luxemburg Cadastre, BRGM in France, British Ordnance Survey, etc.
