Keynote on ‘Breaking silos, building skies: the power of collaboration in UAS’

A keynote session bringing together leaders from Cyberhawk, FlytBase and Shell will explore how strategic collaboration across the drone ecosystem is unlocking scalable, efficient and future-ready uncrewed aerial survey (UAS) operations. The keynote, titled ‘Breaking silos, building skies: the power of collaboration in UAS’, will be held at Commercial UAV Expo, the world’s leading commercial drone trade show and conference, in Las Vegas on Thursday, 4 September 2025.

As commercial drone capabilities expand, so too does their complexity. Changing regulations, evolving technology and increasing client expectations have created an environment that demands cross-functional teamwork. This keynote will tackle that complexity head-on, providing actionable strategies for building effective partnerships, aligning project outcomes and preparing for emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy.

Featured speakers include Chris Fleming, CEO of Cyberhawk, Todd Chase, aviation and compliance manager at Shell, Nitin Gupta, founder & CEO of FlytBase, and Scott Lashmit, US aviation manager at Cyberhawk. From regulatory navigation to client alignment and technological adoption, these leaders will share real-world insights and forward-looking advice to help drone professionals thrive in today’s fast-changing landscape.

Cutting through the noise

“This keynote is about more than collaboration. It is about cutting through the noise and charting a smarter path forward for commercial drone operations,” says Lee Corkhill, group event director at Commercial UAV Expo. “Attendees will walk away with practical frameworks for solving some of the most persistent challenges in the drone industry, while also gaining inspiration for what’s possible through partnership.”

The keynote takes place on Thursday, 4 September 2025, from 9:00-10:00h at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, USA. It forms part of a dynamic conference programme focused on ‘Drones in action: current realities and future frontiers’.
