Last Commercial Event for London Mapping Festival

STAR-APIC will be supporting the last commercial event of the London Mapping Festival which has been running very successfully for the past 18 months. The London Mapping Festival Showcase 2012 which takes place on 6 December at Lords in London, the historic home of cricket, is the UK’s largest, free-to-attend exhibition for the geospatial industry.

In addition to the exhibition, the event offers free-to-attend master classes, keynote sessions, a Cartographic Design Surgery, and other attractions.

STAR-APIC will highlight its latest Elyx Mobile Touch technology for tablet computers in a masterclass entitled 'Going Mobile, maps and more in the field' at 13.45 GMT.

The London Mapping Festival (LMF) is an 18-month programme of activities designed to promote the unique range of mapping, innovative technologies and applications that exist for the country's capital. The festival will showcase all mapping-related disciplines including cartography, surveying, GIS, GPS and remote sensing. The activities are organised by LMF supporters (both commercial and non-commercial organisations) and combine existing events with new specially organised ones to provide something for everyone. These will include workshops for schools, public lectures, professional conferences and mass participation activities.

STAR-APIC has been a long-standing supporter of LMF and is represented on the LMF steering committee.
