Major International Donors Fund New Cadasta Projects

As Cadasta's work has grown to more than 100 projects worldwide, the foundation has expanded and diversified its funding base to include several large donors in the land sector. Cadasta is a leading global land technology and services platform.

In the past six months, Cadasta has begun projects funded by the World Bank, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC). These projects are designed to support government-led efforts to capture and manage land tenure data and improve community land management.

Upon conclusion of the inception partnerships with the Omidyar Network and the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Cadasta successfully shifted its business model to ensure its financial and operational sustainability. This has included focusing on larger partnerships and bilateral and multilateral donors working in the land sector and land-adjacent sectors such as food systems, conservation and climate, sustainable land use and sustainable urban development.

Short summaries of these new projects can be found here.
