Orbit GT Releases Two Mobile Mapping Solutions

Orbit GeoSpatial Technologies has announced the release of two new products within its mobile mapping portfolio: Mobile Mapping Manager 10.5 and ArcGIS Mobile Mapping. The mobile mapping solution for ArcGIS is being launched at the 2013 Esri User Conference in San Diego, USA.

Mobile Mapping Explorer is a new product in Orbit’s broad portfolio aiming to open up the use of complex Mobile Mapping content to the many, said Peter Bonne of Orbit GT. The Orbit Mobile Mapping Explorer provides all data producers and service providers to cross the bridge and finally deliver any kind of mobile mapping content to their customers. The product is a part of the 10.5 release, allowing to reach a large amount of users. According to Peter Bonne, this will dramatically change business opportunities and improve customer relationships.

The ArcGIS Mobile Mapping solution is being released at the 2013 Esri User Conference. This is regarded as a pinnacle product in the company's broad portfolio. Orbit’s ArcGIS Mobile Mapping solutions are now opening access to the vast volumes of mobile mapping for millions of ArcGIS users. The fast-growing numbers of mobile mapping system owners will now have another method of providing their customers with mobile mapping data. The ArcGIS Mobile Mapping solution is also part of the Orbit GT 10.5 product releases.

The Orbit Mobile Mapping for ArcGIS connects to any MM publisher, either public or corporate. The Orbit MM Publisher manages user profiles and permissions. Users of ArcGIS can access panoramic imagery and point cloud data, perform measurements, register new features, and overlay ArcGIS data in the 3D view.
