Pixxel brings Firefly constellation data to UP42 users worldwide

Access to commercial hyperspectral data is set to broaden with a new partnership between Pixxel and UP42. The collaboration makes imagery from Pixxel’s Firefly constellation available through UP42's Earth observation platform, giving users direct access to detailed spectral information at scale.

The Firefly constellation delivers 5m-resolution hyperspectral imagery across more than 135 spectral bands, with a 40km swath width. For UP42 customers, this means the ability to work with richer, more nuanced datasets for advanced Earth observation use cases.

Compared with multispectral imagery, Pixxel’s hyperspectral data provides a finer view of spectral variation, enabling more detailed analysis across agricultural, climate and forestry use cases. Applications include crop condition assessment, soil analysis and broader environmental monitoring.
