Project for Gold Mining in Africa Completed

After 3 years of conducting surveying work for different industries in Ghana, Geokosmos has now extended its activity to a new market segment: the gold mining industry. In June 2006 Geokosmos carried out surveying project in Ghana for the gold mining industry.

Geokosmos specialists surveyed 3 large areas of the country using airborne laser scanning (Lidar) technology. To provide high accuracy geospatial data and to receive output products in the shortest possible time, the survey was conducted with ALTM 3100 (Optech Inc., Canada) with the integrated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), manufactured in France. The acquired data will form the basis for GIS as well as for development and monitoring of infrastructure and gold fields.
