Real-time Snow Twitter Updates Mapped
In the UK, snow updates generated by Twitter Users are mapped immediately. Doing so, a real time snow update is visible online. The tweets with #uksnow in the message and are mapped. Users can add a snow intensity rating and images.
The messages are mapped, based on the post code in the body of the updates or the added geolocation. The service is at the moment limited to the UK. Users can set preferences on how long ratings should be kept on the map, also zero rates can be ignored.
For mobile users, developer @benmarsh has made a special version available.
