Revolution Geosystems acquires Phoenix LiDAR in strategic expansion move

At a time when demand for integrated, end-to-end geospatial workflows is accelerating, Revolution Geosystems has acquired Phoenix LiDAR Systems, a recognized innovator in flexible, survey-grade Lidar mapping solutions. The transaction is aimed at strengthening Revolution Geosystems' position by offering clients a deeper level of support and an even more seamless path to geospatial data acquisition and processing.

With the addition of Phoenix, Revolution advances its strategy of delivering comprehensive services under one roof. Phoenix has built its reputation on high-performance Lidar systems for both crewed and uncrewed platforms, supported by a sophisticated software environment for mission planning, processing and analysis. Integrated with Revolution’s aviation and equipment rental operations, these capabilities create a more seamless and scalable pathway from sensor deployment to actionable data.

For clients, the combined platform is expected to deliver greater operational efficiency and tighter control over project timelines. The expanded hardware portfolio increases deployment flexibility, while advanced processing tools support faster turnaround and more streamlined data delivery.

Expanding access to advanced Lidar

“This acquisition is a perfect alignment of strengths,” said Paul Rossouw, CEO of Revolution. “Phoenix has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in remote sensing. By bringing their turnkey integrated Lidar payloads and experienced software development team into our family, we are offering our clients a deeper level of support and a more seamless path to geospatial data acquisition and processing than ever before.”

“Joining forces with Revolution allows us to scale our technology and reach a broader audience of professionals who need precision and reliability,” said Rob Dannenberg, CEO of Phoenix. “We are excited to integrate our hardware and software expertise into Revolution’s robust service model, ensuring our users continue to lead the way in their respective fields.”
