SCP Colorado v7.1 and DaylightRIP v4.0

SCP (Germany) announced version 7.1 of its large-format colour copy software Colorado. New features include a 3-button mode for VIDAR and Contex scanners. In addition, the product supports the Colortrac Enhanced series and Smart-LF scanner models 4080M, 4080C and 4080E.
The new printer driver prints into the company’s RIP software, which acts as a print server, managing all print jobs. A demo version is available at the URL below.
The company also released version 4.0 of its file-to-print software DaylightRIP. The product now also comes in Danish and Thai. There are two new product lines: Simple Queue, offering a RIP server with one single print queue; and Open Server for interfacing with other software products. The new version offers the option to adjust a printer's grey balance and to linearise the RIP process. In addition, the general procedure of printer installation and calibration has been simplified. For workflow enhancement the software can store files in the RIP server itself, so that they need not be submitted to the server when a reprint is required. A raster editor enables to save raster and vector files in various raster formats. The raster editor also offers black/white de-speckling and hole filling.
The upgrades to Colorado v7.1 and to DaylightRIP v4.0 are chargeable and require a new key-code. Printer drivers are now available for HP DesignJet 4000, Seiko IP-6600 / ColorPainter 64S, Xerox 8142/60, and Kyocera Mita KM-4850/P4850/P4845.
