Servus, geospatial world – see you in Munich!

In 2026, it will be time to say 'Servus' to Munich – and hello to the future – because the next edition of Intergeo, the world’s leading event for geodesy, geoinformation and land management, will take place in Munich from 15 to 17 September 2026. This marks the final stop on Intergeo’s annual tour of German cities before the event settles permanently in Frankfurt from 2027 onwards.

Munich provides a highly fitting stage for this milestone. Recently reaffirmed as Germany’s leading smart city in the Smart City Index by digital association Bitkom – for the third year in a row – the Bavarian capital stands at the forefront of urban innovation. One of the driving forces behind its success is the city’s digital twin, a virtual model that enables planners to simulate and evaluate urban developments before implementing them in the real world.

Innovation and collaboration in focus

With Intergeo returning to Munich, the spotlight once again falls on the strength and dynamism of the geospatial sector. The event will bring together over 600 international brands, industry leaders, associations and start-ups, alongside around 18,000 visitors from across the globe. Over three days, attendees can explore the latest technologies, trends and applications shaping the geospatial profession and its vital role in digital transformation – because digitization needs geoinformation.

To help participants plan ahead, a detailed hall overview of Intergeo 2026 will soon be made available. The organizers look forward to welcoming the global geospatial community to Munich for what promises to be an inspiring and forward-looking edition.

And for those who have the Oktoberfest on their bucket list: the world’s biggest beer festival runs from 19 September to 4 October 2026, kicking off just a couple of days after Intergeo – making it the perfect way to round off a productive week in Munich!
