SimActive for European Union Satellite Centre

The European Union Satellite Centre (EUSC) has purchased SimActive's Correlator3D product for deriving accurate digital elevation models (DEM). The EUSC aims to obtain fast DEM extraction and a significant reduction in DEM editing over current processes, while preserving high accuracy as the chief requirement.

Through the use of Correlator3D, the EUSC is to benefit from the world's only GPU enabled autocorrelation engine, advanced DTM extraction module and powerful DEM editing tools, thereby saving time and reducing costs, according to Dr. Philippe Simard, president of SimActive. "This provides the EUSC with the necessary tools it requires to produce accurate and timely geospatial intelligence products and services."

Correlator3D is to be demonstrated at European Lidar Mapping Forum (29th to 30th November 2011, Austria), where SimActive is in booth 17.
