SIRIUS Only Civil UAS Flying at UVEX

At UVEX 12 in Madrid, Spain, MAVinci's Spanish UAS distributor Grupo Acre presented SIRIUS I, a UAS for civil applications and specialised for orthophotos and mapping. Before being allowed to carry out demo flights, all UAS operators had to prove the abilities of their systems to the aviation authorities during acceptance flights from Monday to Wednesday. The system was the first system, and also the only civil UAS, to receive its demonstration certificate for UVEX 12.

The UAS operator's abilities to fly the UAS were evaluated along with the ground control software and the autopilot. The certificate of non-objection and the proof of insurance were also important. Grupo Acre's MAVinci SIRIUS I was the only UAS to fly on the first acceptance flight day under wind conditions of up to 19kts.
