Symposium by Kadaster International
Kadaster, the Dutch bureau of land management, is organizing a symposium on ‘Bringing networks and knowledge into practice’ on 1 September 2022. This symposium will also include a farewell session for Christiaan Lemmen and Kees de Zeeuw, both of whom are leaving Kadaster after many years of service. It is also possible to attend the symposium online.
Networks, Knowledge and Practice
To achieve effective land administration systems – ones that provide humanity with security of land and property rights – it is necessary to consider three key elements: networks, knowledge and practice. Since Kadaster began its international work 26 years ago, these elements have defined its approach, as the organization works to ensure that it is able to generate impact in a professional, responsible and efficient way. Both Kees de Zeeuw and Christiaan Lemmen have been of tremendous value to Kadaster International’s work in this respect.
The one-day symposium on 1 September 2022 will reflect on the value of these three key elements in the domain of land administration – looking back on what has been achieved in previous decades, and exploring how we can all contribute to the challenges that lie ahead.
