Tele Atlas and ESRI Offer Scholarships for 2005 ESRI EdUC

Tele Atlas (NH, USA) and ESRI (CA, USA) will present five US and Canadian educators with scholarships to attend the 2005 ESRI Education User Conference (EdUC). Tele Atlas will provide recipients with US$ 400 toward travel costs, and ESRI will provide complimentary admission to the conference held from 23-26 July 2005 in San Diego, California, USA.

The travel scholarships are part of Tele Atlas' long-standing commitment to supporting education through a variety of programs. Tele Atlas educational projects involve a range of activities that include company tours, school presentations, job shadowing, and developing and teaching courses at middle schools and colleges.

More than 600 K-12 teachers, college and university instructors, school administrators, librarians, and museum professionals from more than 30 countries are expected to attend the Fifth Annual EdUC. The conference brings together the ideas and experiences of a dynamic group of people with similar goals, leading to a forum for sharing. The scholarships provided by Tele Atlas and ESRI enable more educators to participate in the important event.

To apply for a scholarship, please send an e-mail to educ@esri.com with a brief (fewer than 200 words) essay explaining why you should receive a scholarship to attend the 2005 EdUC and how you will share the knowledge gained at the conference with other educators in your community. All applications must be received by 3 June 2005. For more information about the ESRI EdUC, please visit www.esri.com/educ.
