Thales GPSDifferential Module

GPSDifferential Module, a software extension for MobileMapper CE that adds post processing to mobile GIS/mapping software applications, has been released by Thales (CA, USA). With the GPSDifferential Module, sub-metre and up to sub-foot mapping is to achieve.

GPSDifferential Module integrates into third-party mobile GIS software applications and automatically logs the raw data that is required for reliable sub-metre post-processed differential corrections. In certain conditions and with an external Thales GPS precision antenna, accuracy up to sub-foot can be consistently achieved.

The Thales GPSDifferential Module includes MobileMapper Office software for post-processing. When GPSDifferential Module is integrated into a GIS application, raw data collection functions can be accessed that will store the data in a separate raw data field that will be later recognised by MobileMapper Office. This will affect neither real-time data collection storage nor the structure of the real-time data format. The raw data file stored by this software extension can be post-processed using MobileMapper Office. Post-processed data is exported with attributes in industry standard formats.
